Iran, one of the largest billet exporter in MENA region has exported 2,000,000 MT billet and bloom during the first eight months of current Persian year (21-Mar till 21-Nov’18). As per the data released by ISPA, export of billet during the period decreased by 14% against 2,325,000 MT exported during the same period of last Persian year.
Khouzastan Steel Company (KSC) was the largest exporter of billet and bloom during the period, the company exported bloom (525,486 MT) and billet (384,547 MT) in current year, registered a downfall of 37% and 19% respectively.
South Kaveh Steel Company (SKSCO) was the second largest exporter of billet, the company exported 542,500 MT billet during the period, registered a growth of 18% Y-o-Y.
Khorasan Steel was the third largest exporter of bloom, the company exported 110,358 MT during the period.
Iranian Slab Export Decreases by 29%
Iran, one of the major exporter of slab exported 1,353,000 MT during the 8 months of current Persian year, registered a downfall of 29% Y-o-Y against 1,900,000 MT.
Khouzastan Steel Company (KSC) was the largest exporter of slab during the period, the company exported 615,144 MT slab in current Persian year, registered a growth of 42% Y-o-Y.
Hormozgan Steel Company (HOSCO), a subsidiary of MSC, has exported 498,743 MT slab during the period, exports were down by 36% Y-o-Y.
Mobarakeh Steel Company (MSC) exported 263,006 MT slab during the current period.
Iranian DRI Export Decreases by 21%
Iran exported 400,000 MT DRI during the 8 months of current Persian year, registered a downfall of 21% against 507,000 MT exported in last Persian year.
