As per the data released by IMIDRO, Major Iranian steelmakers exported around 4,365,570 MT of Steel during first nine months of current Persian year (21 Mar-22 Dec’18). Export decreased by around 15% Y-o-Y. Standalone during the ninth month export was noted to be around 254,018 MT, registered a downfall of 52% Y-o-Y.
Khouzestan Steel Company (KSC) was by far the largest exporter during the period, the company exported around 1,664,172 MT steel during the period. The company registered a downfall of around 16% Y-o-Y. Standalone during the ninth month, export was noted to be around 138,995 down by 42% Y-o-Y.
Major steel products exported by KSC during the nine months were Slab (615,144 MT), Bloom (645,267 MT) and Billet (403,761 MT).
Mobarekeh Steel Company (MSC) was the second largest exporter of steel during the period, the company exported 747,587 MT in 9 months, registered a downfall of 5% Y-o-Y. During the ninth month, company exported 13,233 MT.
Major steel products exported by MSC were HRC (434,930 MT), Slab (263,006 MT) and other finished flat steel (49,651 MT).
Esfahan Steel Company (ESCO) exported 676,376 MT of steel during the nine months of current Persian year. Exports were down by 16% Y-o-Y.
Major product exported by ESCO were semi-finished steel (441,289 MT), rebar (122,086 MT), followed by beam (83,022 MT) and wire rod (29,979 MT).
Other major exporters includes South Kaveh Steel (535,300 MT), Hormozgan Steel Company (HOSCO) (498,743 MT) and Khorasan Steel (164,731 MT).
